Water consumption

Taking care of water, the most precious resource for a brewer. We implement innovative solutions to reduce our consumption and protect this essential resource for future generations.

From brewing to bottling and keg cleaning, water use is essential to our craft. In 10 years, we have reduced our consumption by three times. Today, we need only 3L of water to produce 1L of beer, compared to 4 liters on average in other European breweries.

Water treatment

Purifying our wastewater by producing BioGas.

To treat and purify our brewery's wastewater, we have our own treatment plant. We produce biomethane from the water treatment process, which is then reinjected into the GRDF network.

CO2 recovery

100% CO2 self-sufficiency.

Beer fermentation produces CO2. Instead of releasing it, we capture and store it in liquid form. It is then reused to carbonate the beer during bottling.

Improving our energy efficiency.

We monitor our energy consumption monthly to limit our impact. The implementation of many energy recovery systems allows us to be among the best in our field, with gas and electricity needs about 15% lower than average.

WASTE

Eliminating disposable packaging from our products.

100% of our kegs are returnable, washed, and refilled at the brewery. We are helping to reintroduce the deposit system for glass bottles. For packaging that still requires it, we use 50% and 70% recycled plastics. Finally, we replace less recyclable cork stoppers with 100% recyclable caps.
